CadSoft Partners with Royal Circuits in Reseller Offering
July 9, 2015 | Premier FarnellEstimated reading time: 3 minutes
PCB design solution vendor CadSoft Computer, a Premier Farnell company, today announced it has partnered with California-based Royal Circuit Solutions, a leading manufacturer of printed circuit boards (PCBs). The partnership makes Circuit Solutions one of a select group of resellers for CadSoft’s EAGLE CAD software, the industry’s leading PCB design software.
“The North American market is a key geography for CadSoft and the growth of the EAGLE products for professional designers, engineers, makers and those in education,” said Robin Colman, global head of software, element14. “Extending our footprint and growing our channel in this region remains core to CadSoft’s expansion, and by partnering with PCB prototyping companies for the resale of EAGLE we can also help to improve the user work-flow from design to prototype.”
Founded in 1988, CadSoft’s suite of EAGLE CAD design software solutions is affordable and easy to use. EAGLE is a popular tool for design engineers worldwide and meets the growing demand for low-cost, yet powerful, tools. Its flexible licensing model, which includes free lifetime support and no annual maintenance fees, offers great value for educational institutions, companies and individuals.
Colman added, “In Royal Circuits, CadSoft has gained a partner with an industry leading position in the manufacture and prototype of PCBs, and whose customers would undoubtedly benefit from adding EAGLE to their suite of design tools. We’re excited about welcoming Royal Circuits to the CadSoft partner ecosystem as we jointly look to strengthen EAGLE’s market leading position in the PCB design software space.”
Royal Circuit Solutions was founded to meet the need for quick-turn, prototype and high-tech circuit board manufacturing in days. With a state-of-the-art PCB manufacturing facility located in Hollister, California, the company is one of the industry’s top one-stop-shops for PCB projects. Royal Circuits’ corporate philosophy includes continual investment in processes, equipment and partners to deliver the highest quality products, at the best prices, in the shortest timeframe.
Commenting on the partnership, Milan Shah, president of Royal Circuit Solutions, said “For nearly 20 years, Royal Circuit Solutions has been focused on providing the highest level of service and value to PCB designers and engineers. Partnering with CadSoft gives our customers access to a powerful design tool. This new offering, in addition to our free DFM check software, Free Proto, and our online ordering, truly makes Royal Circuits the easiest solution for quick-turn PCB needs.”

Elementary, Mr. Watson: Ensuring Design Integrity
03/28/2024 | John Watson -- Column: Elementary, Mr. WatsonBack in February, many of us watched the "Big Game." It reminded me of the saying, “It's not how you start that is important, but rather how you finish." It is perfectly okay when you are talking about sports, you get off to a bad first half and need to recover in the second half. However, when it comes to PCB design, this is not a good practice. If things start badly, they usually don't recover. They continue down that same path, costing more money and losing design time.
