Samsung Display had shut down Gen-5 LCD line in Cheonan and L 7 production line in South Chungcheong province that makes Gen-7 LCD displays in 2016. It is rumored that Samsung Display would shift focus on OLED displays due to the growing demand from end-users, especially from Apple.
